Short Biography
Scott Martins rally career began in 2001, and by 2004 he was guiding Matthew Wilson, son of M-Sport boss Malcolm Wilson, through the stages of Wales Rally GB. His early years weren’t without setbacks - an almost career-ending crash at the International Rally of Wales in 2005 threatened to derail his progress.
Undeterred, Martin pressed on, navigating for Barry Clark in the Junior WRC in 2006 before reuniting with Wilson in 2008. Over the next five seasons, he co-drove the Briton through M-Sport’s WRC programme before moving to Citroën alongside Khalid Al-Qassimi.
A turning point came when Martin joined forces with the late Craig Breen. The duo enjoyed a hugely successful partnership, winning four rallies in the FIA European Rally Championship with Peugeot and securing two WRC podiums with Citroën. Their results cemented Martin’s reputation as one of the sport’s top co-drivers.
In 2019, he teamed up with Elfyn Evans at M-Sport, beginning a partnership that would carry through to Toyota Gazoo Racing. Together, they have secured multiple WRC victories, including an emotional win at the 2023 Croatia Rally, held just days after Breen’s passing.
